Welcome to the Action for Animals online activism community! The aim is to provide a centralised hub for online advocacy opportunities dedicated to animal protection, curated from across the movement.
You can start finding and taking Actions by browsing the Action Home right now.
What is an Action?
An Action is a specific advocacy task sourced from an animal protection organisation or campaign—such as signing a petition, sending an outreach email to a decision-maker, or joining a social media call for help. The tasks listed are dedicated to helping animals: those abused in industries like food, research and entertainment, and the protection of wild animals and their environments.
Have a browse of the Actions on the site, take them straight away and mark them as done. By registering, you keep a history of your Actions, add them to the To-do lists on your Action Home, or even add the new Actions that you create or find.
What is an Action List?
An Action List groups several related Actions into an easy-to-complete series. A list might be themed (e.g., "Protect aquatic animals") or time-related (e.g., "Actions for this month"). You can add Action Lists to your To-do list at the top of your Action Home, or you can complete them straight away.
Why Register?
There's no need to register or log in as the site works fine without it. Registering, however, brings a number of benefits:
- Record your Action history across browsers/devices
- Create a profile, follow and view other profiles
- Create Actions and Action Lists
- Get statistics and contribute to Action count totals to let people know people are taking action
Register now and check it out.
Can I make Actions and Action Lists?
We'll happily provide this option to trusted organisations and activists wanting to use the platform. Use the quick form here to apply (requires login).
