One of the biggest causes of injustice on the planet is corporate influence in politics. This is why we see harmful industries funded by public money and propped up year after year even when the vast majority of citizens want to see reform.

Animal agribusiness is a case in point. Shielded by lobbyists and corporate donors, the industry causes immeasurable direct suffering to animals exploited for profit. At the same time, agribusiness and fossil fuels are driving climate and ecological breakdown – treating the destruction of wildlife and habitats as a mere externality.

It’s time to stop corporate influence over our democracy.

✓ Apply to all professional lobbyists
✓ Strengthen lobbying bans for former government representatives
✓ Publish ministerial diaries
✓ Appoint an independent regulator and
✓ Enforce meaningful penalties
